Smoke-free healthcare: a step towards a healthy future
A smoke-free generation: it’s no longer a distant dream but a concrete step towards a healthier future. From 2025, all hospitals in the Netherlands must be completely smoke-free, both inside and outside their premises. This requirement is set out in the National Prevention Agreement, which aims to make the entire healthcare sector smoke-free by 2030. While many hospitals are already smoke-free, the “smoking zones” still found outside some hospitals will officially be a thing of the past from 2025.
This smoke-free status must not only exist on paper but also be tangible in the experience of staff, patients, and visitors. How do you shape this in a way that aligns with the culture of your healthcare institutions? How do you ensure that the policy is not just a rule but a message that fits with your brand identity? A message that not only complies with the smoke-free policy but truly embodies it.
